N scale BNSF Seattle layout...
N scale BNSF Seattle layout...
A step back.
The BNSF Seattle layout is a N scale ( 1:160 ) fictional layout based on Seattle Washington.
The limited space at my disposal forced me to N scale, because it's the smallest that can be used with DCC and sound and the level of details is acceptable.
Here is what has been done till now:
This is a hint of the intermodal facility, I realized that a complete intermodal yard would have wasted all the available space ... so just a hint, enough to have a Mi-Jack some container chassis and a few well cars.
This part will also act as a staging yard and a junction between the two legs of the "L" shaped shelf layout.

N scale BNSF Seattle layout...
...fictional!
It was just a question of time. I got tired of static trains ... it was time for a working layout. I managed to find enough space for a n scale shelf layout.
Here some prototypical pictures, more to come....

N scale Kato SD70Ace BNSF 9399
This is the beautiful Kato SD70Ace, I added a few details and made some changes to match the prototype. It's fitted with a Digitrax SDN144K1E.
The big capacitor is under the nose and the 13 mm speaker is hidden in the radiator wings.
